We also had a lot of WV and American Glass in the garage growing up.<BR/>Margie HaleAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34762127.post-53262179522124358522008-06-14T13:00:00.000-04:002008-06-14T13:00:00.000-04:00Me again. One item I seem to remember well was a very tall vase with a glass(of course) flower at the top of it, I mean it was probably 3 feet tall and the flower was real big and each petal was different. It seems to me that the petals were probably 6 or 7 inches long themself's and it had real bright colors. And we also had a Glass Cane of an affair too, As I remember it was blue with white spots all through it almost like the back of a Fawn Deer, and it was made in a twisted-style like a piece of Licorice. Like I said a lot of the stuff we had was one of a kind. I sure remember that big vase w/the flower at the top of it, I can just about see it now.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34762127.post-59704724409231430102008-06-14T06:49:00.000-04:002008-06-14T06:49:00.000-04:00Well, I'd be tracking down that Blenko....Well, I'd be tracking down that Blenko....Heart of Glasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04642826515185943558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34762127.post-47880254966006761162008-06-14T03:55:00.000-04:002008-06-14T03:55:00.000-04:00My ex-wife's Dad was is a Retired Blenko Glass Blo...My ex-wife's Dad was is a Retired Blenko Glass Blower, as a matter of fact his picture was even on the little visitors brochures(spelling?) they used to have in the showroom. Anyhow they (her Parents) gave us a truckload of Vintage Blenko Glass. We had it all, the crackled pitchure w/matching glasses, all of the famous Blenko Paperweights you could imagine, unusual stuff like stuff they would make and maybe not put into production or whatever. We had one-of-a-kind huge Vases and just things like Glass art (or whatever ), I mean you name it we had it but its all ''In the Wind'' now, and has been for years. And also, strangely One of my best friends growing-up's Dad worked there and retired as well and he had almost a basement full of the stuff too. You wouldnt believe some of the Blenko stuff I have had, Like I said one-of-a-kind stuff too. We were allowed also to get in the pile of stuff they disguarded every day, like huge things like an ashtray I think I still have and a bunch of other works of Art that just had a little Bubble in it or some flaw that you couldnt even see hardly unless you really looked. We were allowed to just get the stuff and take it home and use it. But like many other things that we used to have that are now actually worth something are all gone. Aint Life Grand.
