He started as a "carry in boy", working his way up through the years to master glass blower. When he departed from the company thirty three years later, he was their interim designer/production supervisor.

In 2006, David decided to branch out on his own, and left Blenko to pursue that dream. He purchased the then defunct Gibson Glass factory, also located in Milton, WV.

Osburn Modern Glass opened it's doors in September of 2006. Since that time, we have amassed a huge database of repeat customers, and wholesalers in forty five states. Dave attributes his success to the endless variety of colors and styles we offer. The comment he most loves to hear is for a customer to say that they can't make up their mind. He feels that this means he is doing his job. The quality of his glass is his number one priority, and since all the pieces are blown right here on the premises by Dave himself, he has only the highest standards for what goes to our customers. Each piece of glass he creates is signed and dated by David himself, before being shipped or put on display. While Osburn Modern Glass may be small in size compared to other companies, it allows us to price our glass very affordably, without compromising quality.
Check out Osburn for vintage looking glass at very good prices.
Alice H.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34762127.post-60566707987556969372010-09-25T13:41:42.888-04:002010-09-25T13:41:42.888-04:00pictures please
