Harry Thompson -

These are photos (more to come) of items owned by the Larry Thompson family of Danville, Indiana. These items were made by HARRY THOMPSON or for Harry Thompson many while he worked at BLENKO GLASS in Milton, WVa.

Harry Thompson is being added to the FEATURED CRAFTSMEN on the http://www.blenkoproject.org/ website in August there he will join Shorty Finley. The Blenko Project is searching for retired Blenko Craftsmen , if your family member worked at Blenko and you have photos we'd love to record your history
in the BLENKO PROJECT.

  1. Beautiful glass. I'm so interested in the career paths of these glass artists. The cross pollination is what interests me. Tell us more Mr. Thompson!

On another note, I have a decanter that I can't get the moisture out of. I've had it upside down for a day now. Presently, it is very humid but that wetness inside the glass has got to go.

    What can be done?

  2. This is the most beautiful things I ever did see
to have the glass and know it was made by your loving father this man and his family are so
blessed I hope they have children who also love glass.
No one in my family likes it besides me. My children say
    throw it away.

  7. It is great to see all of the glass my grandfather made! Didn't know that Uncle Larry had so much all of it! How great it is too see that others admire his work! And if anyone is going to get the air twist, it will be me.....
