These photos arrived yesterday from a Marshall University Prof, the lamps belonged to her mother. The photos are beautiful, I knew you'd want to view them.
The red one is spectacular - I want to know more about this lamp and vase. The crackle cobalt is also a lovely retro piece. Enlarge photos for better viewing. HJHPLEASE SHARE YOUR PHOTOS OF BLENKO send to theblenkoproject@aol.com.
We should start now writing our legislators if you don't live
ReplyDeletein West Virginia write to the Pres of Senate and House

Ms Hillary needs to be honored during the session for her
work in bring the West Virginia glass makers to our attention.
Also for her work as an advocate for Blenko and W.Va. Glass.
I had not seen this red lamp or anything like it before.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful is it Blenko?
Anonymous I do not live in West Virginia but agree with your idea, I will set down this weekend and write to the Senate of West Virginia.
West Virginias are very thoughtful. Great idea and it should be done before Ms.H graduates and leaves your state.
A better solution would be for Blenko Glass Company to write and also the Blenko Collectors Club letters from these two would be appropriate, get Blenko publicity and we could also start a writing campaign.
ReplyDeleteIf more young people received positive reinforcement for their behaviors we'd have more volunteers in the community.
