Letter from Reader

Friends
Are you willing to help me ID a couple of Blenko items I have? I can't
seem to find the answers elsewhere.

1st group of pix. Teardop bookends. I don't know what they're worth,
can't find any sold results. No damage to either pair, 1 red, the
other lavender. More pix to follow tomorrow.

thanx,
AN

Can we help Abby identify and place value on her Teardrop bookends?
Hjh

  7. My suggestion would be to phone between 10 am and 3:00 pm.
The phone rings into the office ( on the hill) either office workers or security guard answers when I phone.

  9. Yes they are Blenko. Top one is likely Tangerine the bottom set is Rose' which should help figure out the date since Rose' was only made '63-'64. They are found regularly, but far from common. I personally love them.

I'd like very much to know more about the current situation at Blenko.
Are they making glass? Will they remain open?
Can we get the 2011 new retro items in other colors?
    Who is now making glass?
    Status plz.

  13. These are Blenko item # 6318 in ruby and rose (as far as I can tell from the photo). As I recall, they appeared in the 1963 catalog but not thereafter. They are uncommon but not rare.

  14. These are Blenko
    I've seen them in jade
emerald, cobalt and a perisan blue
We paid $ 33 - $40 per pair for the ones we own.
    Prices may now be lower.
    Hope this helps you.

I haven't seen those before; Hillary would be the best to identify.
Have known her since she was in the second grade: She had my co-teacher.
