Why now?? Three years ago people were willing to step up.
Why aren't you writing about this?

Blenko to choose between investors, bankruptcy
MILTON -- Unless Blenko Glass can find investors soon, the 116-year-old company plans to file for bankruptcy.

Assistant Vice President Katie Trippe says Blenko will have to choose between taking on an investor or going under once it runs out of inventory. Trippe says the decision will come soon; Blenko has enough inventory for just several more days.

Blenko stopped producing glass and laid off 26 employees Jan. 30. The company had run into a cash crunch after its bank accounts were seized in a payment dispute with former gas supplier Big Two Mile. The gas company had gone to court in mid-January seeking approximately $500,000 for unpaid bills.

Big Two Mile President Ed Maier says he was unable to work out payment with Blenko.

Trippe says the family has been talking with several possible investors.

  6. Someone should tell Trippe to
avoid saying Blenko is closing until they are ready to shut the doors.
Its bad for business. People think why order they'll close before its shipped.
Or we won't drive down they 'll be closed.
    Negative West Virginia thinking -

  8. ??? for you.
Is the Blenko Museum, the Vintage Glass and the Damon Crain all the same thing?
They seem to self refer to one another.
Also I can find no Linken info on Crain can you tell me where he went to school to become an expert a leading expert on american glass?
I'm not being nasty, I honestly want to know.
Also if the links are true then aren't all three web site commerical in nature?
Are they sponsored by Blenko Glass?
    Just curious.

  10. Re: Damon
Glasslady herself told me he is an expert.
Also he publishes in magazines etc.
Blenko and WV Glass has little press otherwise.
Dean Six would probably be #1 expert on WV Glass and Rock WIlson #2
but Damon has a big web presence and yes he does sell glass and promote his sites but I bet you all do also.
