WV Birthday Vase # 7 - 1986

This Vase is perfect for floral arrangements. At the home of my parents this vase is used June - August as a depository for the flowers from my Dad's perennial garden.

Never in the history of Blenko has a Vase been designed to display floral arrangements better than the 1986 WV Birthday Vase to display floral arrangements.

Our good friend Danny is a Rosarian and often uses this vase to display his prize winning roses.

This one is difficult to find, as it was utiliarian and used frequently. hjh

  2. Hey Hilary,
We went to this sale on Friday.
Bought a van full of glass. Two hurricane lamp shades, many many other items. They boxed a no charge.
    Terrfic 6 hour adventure.
Later our hotel offered to ship on Monday -the glass as Fed Ex was closed for the evening. We saved more than enough to cover the air fares.
    Thank you

    Why use special vases daily?

  5. I can think of a reason to use a rare vase; let's say you have a special vase and you store it away all your life; and then one day you meet the prince of death, well, you may just ask yourself why you stored it all those years instead of using it... no? Tomorrow may or may not come; destiny is a tricky thing

  6. Penny here
My Mom died when I was 30, she had silver, linens, crystal and lovely tableclothes we used only once each year.
After her death I started using the silver every weekend and this gradually grew to daily
Now my neices and nephew are collecting siler at estate sales and using while they are in grad school.
Live Life now. Don't wait for tomorrow. Enjoy what you have.

always says you are not entitled to tomorrow.
    Thank you.

Your lesson learned from Mothers death is heartwarming.
My Mom also died when I was much too young - until today I failed to find anything positive in her death. However, like you I use daily linen napkins, cloth table covers and I use good china for every at home meal.
Thank you for the positive spin.
