Blenko Pineapple?

Hilary
I'm a almost new collector - 2 years now.  My goal is to have one piece of every Blenko fruit and veggie.
Just saw this on Ebay and I want to purchase.
It doesn't look like the one photo of a pineapple I saw 2 years ago-  can you tell me if this is Blenko
and if not Blenko who made?
Thank you
If its WV made I'll buy anyway.  I'm also sending a photo of a punch bowl (blenko)  I want to purchase for Mother's Day.

We'll post your photo and ask the readers to help.  To be honest,  I do not own the pineapple.  My parents have an extensive collection of fruits and veggie and they don't own the pineapple or the watermelon.  The two items are 'hard to find'.  We'll post your photo - you must return to look for comments.

Why not ask readers to help you find the watermellon and pineapple for your parents?
This particular pineapple looks very similar to a Cambridge ( Ohio) pineapple I own. Paid $75 in 1985 purchased in Wheeling WVa.
    Nice piece of glass.

someone should ask Ryder if they will again
    make the pineapple and watermelon
and charge you all a fortune to purchase.

this is a different style than the one I own
not saying it is not Blenko , the one I own is not cased glass and has a more pronounced crown

  4. Hello,
I remember seeing this on ebay. If i recall correctly, one of the green leaves is broken too. This is not blenko pineapple. I searched old catalogs to see if it is blenko. I did not find it in any. I may be wrong, but I think its not blenko.

  5. Angie,
Gotta ask, why in the world would you want to collect Blenko fruit? It's not what they're known for -- it's not even very good compared to a lot of other mass production glass fruit. If you're drawn to Blenko, there must be something else you like. I know it's important to collect what you like, but sometimes it's best to be guided at least a little by the critical consensus. Blenko is great because of its mid-century modern designs. Collect those!
