In a recent interview Mr. Walter Blenko stated " Blenko employes 50 people," we look forward to a time when Blenko will again be fully staffed with craftsmen. If you haven't made your online order for Blenko Glass as Gifts to Celebrate the New Year - please do so immediately.
that is one very vintage photo
ReplyDeleteQuestion for you?
ReplyDeleteHow many full time workers?
How many 3 day workers?
How many admin / office workers?
Gift shop? I find each visit the gs is understaffed. Anyone else with similar observation?
Last visit (11/12) I was told glass workers with exception of Rider and 2 maintenance men were part time.
One full time gs workers and 2 part time.
Shipping and office remain full time.
Is this correct? I count less than 30 people. Are there 50 full timers? or 50 i total?
Just curious.
Ivan and many other life long employees continue to work at Blenko, perhaps this is glassdoc's way of reminding us they've been there forever.
ReplyDeleteWe as supporters should be buying the new glass - I know, I also don't collect the new, but I gift it weekly.
I buy at least 100 pieces each year and for all occassions I gift new Blenko- only if I love the person might I gift an older piece.
Confess - you are all just like me.
Buy more new Blenko. Encourage new collectors to start with a Bayliss collection.

ReplyDeleteAddress the questions to K. Trippe not to glassdoc, she is not an employee of Blenko.
We come here to learn about Blenko, to see photos of Blenko we covet.
We do not need or want to have questions about management.
Well sometimes we do. Try asking in a more gentle way!
