Hillary I own this lamp, I've spent months trying to identify - can you help?
Thanks very much for your help. I've attached some photos of the lamp. As I said, it's lovely but I can find no information about when it may have been made.

ReplyDeletedidn't we just ID this lamp a couple of weeks ago?
ReplyDeleteWell I'm certain its Blenko - as I've seen it many times, I like the faded colors red to yellow - this is a good example of the technique, I haven't seen this since the late 70s.
ReplyDeletePerhaps Hilery or Bruce or someone with real knowledge can give you the # of this lamp.
I know they sell for about $200 in the after market.

I have an amberina Blenko lamp to to this with a slightly different shape. It's a family piece and the story behind it is that my grandfather purchased the lamp new from the Blenko showroom in 1963. Mine is missing the finial so I am super jealous of your lamp! I have been meaning to send Hillary pics of my Blenko collection, as I grew up in nearby Huntington, and have several showroom pieces dating from the 60s and 70s.
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure it is a 1968 design, but will have to check the books when I get home for the exact item number.

This looks like a #6535 decanter...in the catalogs through 1969. Hope that helps!
