Raindrops from Rick Pulcrano
We ask for photos of Raindrops - Mr. Richard Pulcrano of Huntington www.blenkoproject.org (click on collections) provided the photos below. Mr. Pulcrano started Tri State Mobile Medical Services in 1984, this was the first company to bring Mobile Radiology services to the State of West Virginia and achieved the SBA 1988 West Virginia Young Entrepreneur of The Year Award. Mr. Pulcrano is a graduate of St. Joseph Central High School in Huntington, WV and graduated from George Washington University in Washington, DC. Mr. Pulcrano assumed the role of COO of Mobile USA on May 1, 2006. Other websites containing photos of Raindrops are: The Blenko Collectors Four and Blenko Museum. 
Does one have to be rich like Rick Pulcrano to own raindrops?

Also is it the photo or is the glass crystal with specs?
What is available in Raindrop series? Only 3 items?
Questions, questions, questions and yes I bought the books you suggested but these answers are not in the books.
Next question - is there a collectors club? If so when and where do they meet.

ReplyDeleteAs an MD my thoughts are few of the collectors have more income.
The Blenko Collectors Founder is the wife of a steel worker (good middle class family) they have an outstanding collection. Blenko collectors are unique, loyalty to Blenko may be the only common thread.
You need not be 'rich , Blenko is factory glass - handblown colorful glass made in a small WV factory.
Re: availability of Raindrop check ebay, and perhaps place a Craig's List ad.

We met Rick last year, a nicer person does not exist.

Hello I just purchased a raindrop decanter. It's beautiful, I'm a glass collector and have many pieces of Blenko, I'm sure the stopper is a candleholder. A good buy today for $9.99.
