I wish I had talent
ReplyDeletedoes blenko offer stain glass panel for sale?
Can I arrange for a special design?
Just bought a 2nd home and would
enjoy blenko windows.
Sue M
Did the same person construct all these panels?
ReplyDeleteSue M (again)
Richard Blenko most likely designed these panels. These and similar panels are in his latest movie about Blenko Glass.

While I am not the Blenko historian I am certain Richard Blenko neither designed nor implemented these panels.
ReplyDeleteRichard was the spokesperson for Blenko not an artist, designer or
glass craftsperson.
Check the records you'll see I'm correct.
Blenko employees no glass artist, the Big Guy in antique glass taught some classes and was helpful to artist and students
he is not a Blenko.
Hope this helps.
Branko Pfeiffer did the design and painting of the glass and Steven Stanisic did the window its self. Both worked at the factory back in the mid 90's Branko was from Croatia and Steven is currently living in Serbia. All Rick did was set the theme of each window panel. They did the rest.
ReplyDeleteSetting the theme
ReplyDeletehaving the idea is the most important part.
Sad to think of Blenko Glass without RB.

ReplyDeleteDid you notice when Rick left
the talent also left?
No one remaining who understands market, the employees, or the customers.

ugh
ReplyDeleteI freely claim to be a Rick Blenko fan. This face on PBS brought me to Blenko Glass.
ReplyDeleteLater I discovered my parents knew all about Blenko.
Rick Blenko was and will always be Blenko Glass.
Best Wishes to Rick Blenko.

ReplyDeleteContact Don Lemley he makes windows on the side for people. I know he has done a number of churches in the area. He did the big baptist church on 60 in st. albans (beside the car lot) and the apostle church on hurricane creek. Hillary get some pics of his windows and post, that would be cool.
All of you people are certainly entitled to your opinions, however, it needs to be said that you don't have any idea what you are talking about. The current managment of Blenko is wonderful and doing a great job digging out of the hole that Richard Blenko put them in. They are very much 'market' savy, and for any of you to suggest any different proves that you have no clue as to what you are talking about. As an after note, Mr. Lemley was let go for very sound reasons. If you don't know what you are talking about, perhaps you should not be quite so vocal.

ReplyDeleteI notice you seen to know a great deal about Blenko and the management yet you fail to assign your name to your positive comments.
If you have questions pertaining to Blenko, why on earth, don't you CALL THE OFFICE. They are the ONLY ones who really know what they are talking about. All this speculation is silly.
