Will Blenko make pink this year for Mom's Day?
Carolee
Carolee,
I wrote to Katie Trippe end of the week to ask about Mother's Day. When we get a response you'll see the message posted here.
Blenko is a wonderful place to shop for ALL Holidays.
Mother's everywhere appreciate hand crafted glass. We all do. Don't you enjoy knowing the glass from which you drink your OJ daily was made by a Blenko Glass employee and it's one of a kind, a unique glass.
Note: My parents also appreciate the Blenko Glass inspired cards made by Diane W of Calif and also the post cards made by a local Milton artist - both are sometimes found for sell in the Blenko Gift Shop. The cards are not inexpensive. They are priceless. hjh
ps check Blenko Glass website - there may be some mention of Mother's Day.
Hillary FYI
ReplyDeleteLaura Moul made the postcards
she's won many awards but I have not seen the cards in 2012.

ReplyDeletedon't hold your breath waiting for this
I spoke with one of the ladies in the Visitors Center and she told me that Blenko is working on pink but it may not be "released" until Mothers Day or later.

ReplyDeleteWhere do you live?
When I call I'm on hold for 1/2 of my call.
If you live in Milton I envy your proximity to the factory.

The lady Diane sells under Renassiance Art - this may be mispelled look at past post in this blog - I remember as both my hubby and I liked the cards.

The blenko pink is a bit brighter than the rose
ReplyDeleteif you don't own the blenko pink
rush to purchase.
I've asked about Ice Pink Glass many times. A Blenko employee stated that they probably won't be producing Pink Glass anymore because the Chemical they need to make it costs 100 dollars an ounce.
ReplyDeleteUnless the Chemical to produce the Pink glass went down in price I wouldn't expect to see it.
When I was there the last time they did have Pink and White Frit glass.
I also love the pink
ReplyDeleteglass, Blenko pink is the nicest of all
pink.
