Readers: Bruce Specht of Texas has one of most well known Blenko Collections. On occassion he shares photos of his collection with Heart of Glass. Its an opportunity to see good examples of more difficult to local Blenko Glass from the past. hjh
Hi Hillary,
A nice pair of Husted designs from the 60's. On the left is a Blenko #619 in tangerine with it's companion from 1961 a Blenko #618 in Turquoise. I hope the photo shows how the Finishers elongated the rim before trimming it in the ripple or wave edge. Both pieces have vertical ribbed sides.

Question who is the Blenko team?

It said designed by Arlon Bayliss and team.
The and Team did so many of these vases and to be quite honest hilary they are ugly and not exciting.
The 2007 2008 are nice
2009 and 10 retro but good
I dont care for the guitar but again better than the past. The photo in Herald of design left me
thinking it was a modification of a vase I own.
What happen to Bayliss? You told us he was 'breathe of fresh air'.
This 149 will go to a captive audience, no new pieces since 2008? Does or does not arlon bayliss design for Blenko? Visited his webpages he is talented. So what is the issue here?
