WV Birthday Celebration - Blenko Glass - June 23rd

Mark your calendars  Saturday June 23rd - WV Birthday Celebration at Blenko Glass.
The birthday vase goes on sale early am -  however,  Blenko is open all day.
On the 2nd floor in the Museum area -  you'll find  delicious cake decorated with the outline of our beautiful State of West Virginia and a cake that is a replica of the 2012 Blenko Birthday Vase.
Each year the Blenko family and staff  graciously offers cake and drink along with glass signing
and other special events ( www.blenkoglass.com  for complete schedule).   You'll have an opportunity to meet and speak with  Blenko family members, Mr. Andy Blenko,  Mr. Walter Blenko Jr. - President,  Arlon Bayliss the Blenko Glass designer and creator of the 2012 Birthday Vase,  and
Katie Trippe Blenko VP Blenko Glass.   Its an opportunity to meet and greet these important folks.
Several years ago WV Janis ( a blog follower) submitted ideas for future WV Birthday Vases along with a request for the size to remain less than 18 inches tall to Blenko Glass designer
Arlon Bayliss.  Blenko wants to hear from you - what you like, what Blenko you collect.  Your favorite colors,
what we can do to make your shopping experience more pleasurable.
Blenko understands not everyone is 'into' the Birthday Vase -  for this event the shelves are fully stocked with glass.    If you are looking for a unique hand crafted made in WVa item -You will not leave Blenko disappointed.
Bring the family,  plan a picnic near the pond -  unless the ducks are sitting on nest - the glass garden is open.   The grounds at Blenko are wonderful all year long,  but I'm particularly fond of June and July when everything is in full bloom.
Decades ago Marion Blenko ( Spouse of WH Blenko)  envisioned a peaceful garden, filled with unique plants and a pond.  Joel P. Myers designed the panels surrounding the garden,  in the time since many other designers,  Blenko employees and others have worked hard to  keep the pond, and the garden open for your pleasure.
Blenko Glass.  Blenko Glass,  Milton, WVa.   Where everything is Made In USA  - most
items are made in West Virginia.  hjh
Ps  Don't forget to bring a camera.

available at Blenko Glass giftshop and also on Etsy.

we wont be there but please tell Mr. Blenko we are most grateful to him for keeping Blenko alive and working.
We live Mr. Bayliss' retro designs and we appreciate that he thinks the WV Vase is special.
The trip is too expensive we usually have a friend from Ashland go stand in line and ship to us.
Thank you for the blog and the updated BlenkoProject. The catalogs are awesome, will you add more?

  8. Blenko Glass start offering these cards again please.
I like the glass plates also
but having a nice card is as important as having good glass gift.

They aren't yet completed or scanned, but the colors are red, orange, green, aqua/turquoise, blue, purple and brown. Individually, the cards sell for $10 each. For these two sets, the price will be $60 for all seven. There are three singles listed at the moment, in orange, green and purple. Check it out - The Renaissance Woman's Etsy shop
