Blenko Glass. Blenko Glass Blog - Blenko Jugs - #111 Blenko Jugs #2
A  note and photos from Texas Collector of Blenko ,  Bruce S.

HI Hillary,
This photo is in response to a comment about the Nickerson jugs that was posted to the web a week ago. The first comment was about "Variations". Now I know she meant the Husted series of pitchers but it got me to thinking of all the variations of jugs that Blenko has done over the years. So with that in mind I searched out most of the jug designs I have in my collection for this grouping.
Hope your readers will enjoy as well.
Bruce
From left to right: Shepherd designed "Big Sky" #8225, "Cumulus" #7824, Myers designed #6526 in Tangerine, Husted design #5424 in Jonquil crackle, Special Edition jug for Blenko Collectors group in "Watercolor", Pre-designer jug #443 in Ruby, Shepherd designed "Snowdrift" #8324 with handle variation, Pre-designer jug #417 in Lime crackle, Nickerson designed  jug #7226-M in Emerald, and Shepherd designed  "Barnwood" #7912-S

  4. For the person claiming "fake" - please stop unless you can give your reasoning. Just saying "fake" takes away from the purpose of this blog which is to educate.

note#3: if you can't provide documentation or explanation Glasslady should not allow the comment.

  6. Myers said that the tangerine jug is not a true Blenko piece. This is a fake. Please stop posting fake Blenko.

  9. This post has created a lot of negative comments.
FYI:Not all 'real' blenko is sold in NYC.
FYI: Blenko bought in NYC probably came from the Carolina's or/& back door Blenko factory, nothing special about it.
    FYI: What Myers said this?
Do you have documentation of this comment? I purchase from Myers
agent yearly for my organization, I will forward this photo. In the past he has been reluctant to comment on Blenko.
Perhpas Anonymous has a secret path?
FYI: As a resident of Ill for 27 years, and an artglass lover. I was surprised in 2005 to learn of the Myers/ Blenko connection.
FYI: My understanding of this blog is. The owner does not sell Blenko, does not benefit from the blog, or her website.
While often I find mistakes, I comment and they are corrected within 24 hours. If you have documentation and your intent is legitimate I suggest you contact glass lady and ask for a change.
My guess is you a) sell glass, b) make 1/2 or more of your living from on line sales, 3)you like conflict.
There is a DSMIV label for this.
