crystal never looks great in photos yet I am drawn to Blenko crystal. We recently used the crystal waterb ottles on each table at our 50th wedding anniversary. We had 30 tables of 6 people and I was told no table left the center piece. So 30 new blenko collectors may have been born. Georgia
Georgia, Crystal is one of the hardest to photograph for me as well. I enjoy my crystal pieces and have several fairly rare pieces in my collection. I have yet to really find a format that brings out the qualities that I am sure you find as enticing as I do. Crystal like diamonds need a background to bring out the character of the piece. I have tried shooting with a black background but I am still not happy with the results. I guess I will need to go back to the drawing board or someone will throw out a good suggestion for all of us to follow. Thanks for your comments. Enjoy, Bruce Specht
I make the cards, most in the shape of the Blenko water bottle, but I have been known to make hearts, wine glasses, and a few other shapes. I will send Hillary some new photos soon. Thanks for asking about them.
