William John Blenko, a stain glass marker, started creating colorful glass in the 1920's, but his vibrant barware didn't gain attention until the 1950s. Today BLENKO FANS "are looking for ways to incorporate the bold colors into their homes," says Houston dealer David Lackey. LOOK FOR: Whimsical shapes. "Collect decanters in an array of colors or gather different designs in the same shade," suggest Stephen Sanders owner of New York City store the End of History, which specializes in midcentury glass and pottery. COST: Simple, small vases are least expensive ($100). Large, unusual shapes can run upwards of $1,000. Glass $450-$750. the End of History. 212 647 7598.

With much anticipation I await the
Blenko Convention.
My expectations are high.

I totally agree with you Solomon. I am driving half way across country to attend the convention. The drive isn't so bad since we've been lucky finding Blenko along the way and on our way home. By the way you might set a budget for yourself, it's quite easy to overspend as we did last year. Way too many goodies!

My goal had been to impress the Blog writter. We've bought over $1,800 of Blenko for a waiting room, 'volunteered' for Blenko Project all w/o success.
Now perhaps that 'Blenko Bug' has bitten and I am starting to appreciate the glass.

Your comments on this
blog are almost 'stalker like'
Hills and I have been close since
before grade school. She would
never have interest in an aggressive,
loud person .
While she may be involved
with someone currently.
My suggestion is that you stop this -
become more knowledgeable of- with Blenko Glass
assuming that desire is legitimate.
Then when Hills is not involved you
might try - flowers, and low key approach.
