If you like Egyptian - and what lady doesn't....the LUXOR is your kinda place, its 14 years old - so by VEGAS standards definitely not 'HOT and NEW'!
However, my Mom and I were treated very well, our room was large almost l,000 sq feet and (except for the lack of coffee maker - about which my Mom daily complained) 2 queen beds, a sitting area, a soaker spa style tub, separate shower, large TV. It was an exceptional bargain for the week!
The staff- beginning with the front desk - who allowed me due to my Moms age an early check in - represented the Hotel and Las Vegas in a very grand and generous manner. I'd return to the LUXOR. However, I think if you go to Vegas more than once staying each time in a new place would be for me a great adventure - I don't gamble - and I do love the thought of traveling and where besides Vegas can one go from New York to Paris to having a gondola ride in the rivers at the Venetian.
VIVA LAS VEGAS.....I wish I'd gone sooner, and I will return.
RE: BLENKO IN LAS VEGAS - I must report I saw NO BLENKO in the shops - WE DID SEE West Virginia Glass in the Bellagio Buffet Dining Room - squares of Wismach (see photo).
The Bellagio is also the home of some gorgeous Dale Chihuly glass sculptures. (photos below)

My sorority sisters - all long graduated - were also in Vegas this week. It must have been Elton John that attracted so many women to Vegas that or the 99cent drinks.
Enjoying your writing and also learning about West Virginia workers.
My 'Boss' is the collector, he has a birthday in early May
will you suggest a Blenko item for me to buy for him?
Thanks
Hilly
We knew you were not at the Bellagio as Sol sent Flowers and they were returned to hotel desk.
You are 'tricky'
Loved the photos, have been many times but to see Vegas with the eyes of a 20 something who doesnot drink or gamble was an adventure for me - yes I am laughing - a G rated Vegas brought to us by Hilary Homburg
We stayed at the luxor during our honeymoon when it was just named Luxor.
Over l3 years ago.
Great service, very large common areas.
How did chihuly get to be so famous?
What did he do that is different?
I ask this often, I don't expect you to answer
My wife bought a small item for 5K about 6 years ago from his collection.
Do you have a theory for why we value chihuly instead of your Blenko designers?
Just thinking aloud here.
