Hello,
I thought I would share this page for our soon-to-be published book on Harzfeld's, Kansas City based a specialty store. Please feel free to use the ad on your blog if you wish.
Best to you,

Harzfeld’s advertisement featuring Blenko Glass from Milton, West Virginia. Blenko
diversified from sheet glass into vases during the Depression, and by the end of World War
II it had expanded its line of items and ramped up production to meet consumer demand.
Fashionable, branded items such as Russel Wright dinnerware and Jensen silver were also
popular gift items. Numerous unbranded gift and decorative items were also offered to
customers. Courtesy of The Independent, May 22, 1948.

Harzfield was one my gmoms favorite stores. We own Jensen silver she purchased one place setting at a time from Harzfield's.
The classic department store. Do any of these stores remain? Not Harzfield but large local not owned by corporation.
This ad would be a welcome addition to my paper collection.
Is the original available for sale?
Fond memories of this and many other large department stores in Kansas City.
We long ago spent 4 years in the area
