We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Can you Identify? - NEED PICS

I enjoyed reading your web site. Attached are 2 photos of my 92-year-old mother and a blue tray she received as a wedding present in 1940 in Houston, TX. She received Blenko gifts that year, and we thought it might be Blenko; however, looking at your web site, I see it must be something else. It is sky blue, and instead of crackles has bubbles, making the texture sort of bumpy. It is rather heavy; I don’t think it is plastic. It has no markings. Any idea what it might be? The answer may be, blue glass!

I worked at Blenko for 30 years.
Blenko did not make that tray, these trays were made by Dunbar Glass in Dunbar, WV.
