Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass
Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Photos from Bruce
Hi Hillary,
Third on my list is this nice group of Anderson designed 920 decanters. From the left is Tangerine, Turquoise, and Lime.
Simple yet elegant, enough said.
Hope you enjoy,
Bruce

Elizabeth and Ron,
Thank you for your positive comment on the photos. I get as much enjoyment from photographing the pieces as I do from just seeing the light refracting through my collection over the course of the day. I am trying to continue to challenge myself and you may see some in the near future here on the blog that I would appreciate your thoughts. As for the size question, these are the original 920 without the designation of L, for large, or S, for the smaller version. The height of these ranges slightly but are all approximately 16 1/2" tall. I actually only have one of the smaller (Amethyst) and one of the larger (Charcoal/Crystal) versions. I do have several more of the original #920 but tend to only collect those that the neck flairs back out. For some reason it is just more pleasing to my eye.
Thanks for the questions and comments,
Bruce
Bruce your family photos are a real treat.
I work 3-11 and unwind with the blog each evening
