It's FREEZING! 2-4 Inches of Snow. BLENKO IS OPEN DAILY

Glassdoc,  Is Blenko open when the weather is bad?   I know you will say phone,  but people don't always answer.  Is there a non fail way to know the hours of Blenko?  Susie

Susie,  I've been visiting Blenko for over 25 years - and have yet to find them CLOSED.  The hours are posted,  they rarely change.   If your drive is several hours -I would suggest you phone 304 743 9081 to confirm  and arrive early if possible on snow days.      In WVa this week we are part of a winter snow storm.   HOWEVER, the ladies at the Blenko Glass gift shop are behind the counter,  the shop is warm, the shelves are almost full of wonderful, colorful  West Virginia hand made glassware.

Blenko is a small, family owned glass factory.  The hours for observation deck _ observing men working _ is limited and subject to change.  The hours of the gift shop have not changed.

Center PA Festival of Arts 2013. July 11-14.

Center PA festival of arts will celebrate its 46th anniversary this year from July 11-14 (http://www.arts-festival.com/). It is a 4-day event that brings about 125,000 people to state college PA. Various artists use this as an opportunity to showcase their art, glass makers being one of them. As of now, the festival is open for artists for registration.
