Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. Beautiful as always - thank you Bruce.
Is there a story with the pre designer vase?

The stickers look like the Stickers that you can buy on eBay. They look like fake pieces.

To the ' its fake troll' Blenko stickers are available on line - which means someone at Blenko either steals and resells or else the seller is the thief
my question is why does no one at Blenko check into the lady who sell these stickers? She met me at the Target Store parking lot near Hurricane.
I think identifying her would assist with the internal thief that has plagued Blenko for years.
I've bought several nice older pieces from her and also 100 or more stickers.
Do not use my email or name.

Blenko hasn't had a full time designer since John Nickerson.
So yes. Blenko does do no designer items.
Glassdoc confirm that I am being truthful.
Right now Blenko has a designer maybe 30 days a year.
No one is creating new glass except the employees.

Pre designer means items in production before Winslow Anderson.

Blenko often allows the shops to design - then they determine if the item should be put in production or sold in limited number.
For more information on this topic, I suggest you phone Blenko Glass 304 743 9081.

Blenko! Blenko Blenko!! Fake stickers could be on the Internet. Someone should catch the person doing the fake stickers. If would definately stop all the fake stuff going on...Maybe someone sold them to Bruce in the parking lot in hurricane.

I think the sticker salesperson sells on ebay and to SC & NYC dealers only.

Hillary sent a copy to Dean SIx and ask him, this glass looks very good to me and I've sold Blenko and other glass for 42 years.

Eliminate the comments from this jealous person.

NO. If internal thief was stopped we could no longer purchase unsigned Birthday Glass.

I do enjoy the pre-designer pieces in my collection even though there are different designs from most all the different designers that hold my attention. The "cobweb" series from 1936-37 are probably my favorites but as with all Blenko pieces the way that an individual finisher may have executed the rim or flare of the neck of a piece can make all the difference whether I find it pleasing to me. What I appreciate most is the quality of the earlier pieces that demonstrate the level of skill that the designers had at their direction to produce the variety of challenging designs they would be called upon to produce, not just in small quantities but in a production environment demanding output while still meeting its time constraints and demands. Each designer brought different goals and experimented with the raw material in different and new ways which is what I enjoy about each. Hopefully you will find that to be part of the enjoyment you will discover as you study how each designer approached color, texture, shape, size, and the interaction of all these elements.
