I bought most all my glass in 2005 when it was very expensive. I've seen the prices for my Blenko go lower and lower. Tell me what to do - should I sell or wait for the prices to come back?
Most everyone I collected with has moved on to other things. Do you know of a group I can connect with?

Victoria,
Tevia in Fiddler on the Roof - " On one hand, I could do this, but ....on the other hand...." and make no choice!
At times it seems we lose no matter what you decide.
If you buy only what you can use, or what you love - the price - increase or decline will be of little interest for you.
Buying quality - is most important when buying glass.
Wish I could help you with this decision.
Of one thing I'm certain - Teddy Roosevelt said," In any moment of decision, the best ting you can do the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing is to do nothing.
Good Luck!

Amen. Return to collecting besrs
For me this is a hobby. If this had been an investment I would have approached it completely different. My wife and I like the beauty and to some extent rarity of our collection. I will add this quality will always fetch higher prices
A passion for me . .it started as a hobby and became a passion

Buying only what you love is good method of purchasing.
Then the market won't be an issue for you.

I think you are quoting the person to whom you suggested retirement.

How are you? How is Kyren?
Long time - we haven't seen any of the old collectors in years.
We go to Blenko yearly but rarely see anyone we knew from prior days.

Hi George,
Right now we are doing okay!. 'm been out of the loop for a while because I'm dealing with some pretty serious health issues these days. Every cent I make either goes to Dr.s bills or meds. We sell an extra piece or two on eBay once in a while. Great seeing you online. I a;ways try to be around and always check Hilary's blog, you never know what the topic will be. Always trying to be of use. Take care!

Tim,
Will you let this blog know when you put things on ebay?
I don't often shop ebay for glass.
I would like to view your offerings.
Alice H.
Hi Alice since you asked... (very nice of you) We listed an extra piece yesterday here is the link:

Wow! Just looked at the photos, these belong on Hilery's website.
They will inspire future collectors.

Hello Tim,
Can I make a post here using material on your page? Of course, your page will be cited and aknowledged. Also, would you be kind enough to mention blenkoproject blog and website in the 'favorite links' part of your ebay page?
Thanks,
V
Alice,
Thanks for your kind words! If anyone wishes to use any of my images they are welcomed to do so, just please do not claim them to be your own. I am always ready to lend a hand or answer a question so please do not hesitate. Thanks again to Hilary and wonderful work on her blog, it takes dedication and a person who is willing to put up with more than I ever could.
Here is a great photo of the old Texas gang: Texas Blenko Collectors

@mountain rita: we can only post the catalogs we have. And all the catalogs we have are online. I will post more as and when I get them. Until then, please help us find the missing ones. And if you can, STOP COMPLAINING.
Thanks,
