MATT CARTER
Yesterday we inadvertently caused quite a stir by accidentally posting the above photo along with an article about former Blenko Designer Hank Adams.
The piece is actually a of a one of a kind free form head vase done by Matt Carter (Blenko designer from 1995-2002) in 1994.
One of the first substantial non-birthday Blenko pieces I purchased was at Elder Bearman, when while waiting in line for my WV Birthday piece I fell in love with a Opaline Yellow & Cobalt Designer Series vase by Mr. Carter that was on display. I was lucky enough to get it signed by Mr. Carter and Mr. Blenko -both on hand that day to sign the birthday pieces.
You can find more beautiful images of Matt Carters work at the Blenko Museum or Blenko Collectors Website.

Your dedication to Blenko is
evident by the number of interesting columns on your holiday.
It is interesting to read about Hank Adams and Matt Carter.
We knew Matt from Museum, did not know he was former Blenko designer.
Thank you for colorful photos and the always informative columns.
I will continue to read.

I find your comments to be humorous, and harmless.
It would appear from the
removal of your comments that Hilary does not.
Don't give up!

I just got up this morning and looking at the pictures of Free form Head vase and Yellow&Cobalt vase, I felt they are really so sweet and cute, I know it sounds lil odd describing Blenko that way but could not help :)
very creative work done by Mr. Carter. I really enjoyed it
