Tim Alonzo of the BLENKO TEXAS COLLECTORS sent the following message:
"Just in case some of you have not heard, Winslow Anderson, Blenko Glass' first designer, passed away , after a long illness. Winslow was 90 years old. We would be doing Winslow a disservice if we only spoke of his work at Blenko, he was a true industrial designer in every sense of the word. '
I'll do a complete post after exams today.

Title
Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass
Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

I know of Winslow Anderson only from your blog
and a brief encounter at the Haiti
Art exhibit
Joan Edwards took me.
His lost must sadden you, take comfort in knowing 90 is a long life.
Good luck on your exams
and with life.
You haven't mentioned Eon of late, is he still a player?
not to be morbid
but ? does this mean my
Winslow Anderson signed
items increase in value
WVUGUY07
WVGUY07,
I would not think his autographed pieces will go up in value anytime soon. Winslow signed hundreds if not thousands of pieces in his life. He was kind and patient (for the most part) with collectors and was tickled they collected something he designed over 50 years ago. Keep these pieces to remember a kind gentleman and a great designer.

Will there be a service?
Did he have a family?
