Hi HIllary,
Shot a few more photos over the Forth of July Holiday and wanted to share. A nice pair of Husted designed miniature vases. Blenko # 60-D (5 1/4") in Tangerine and "61 Charcoal. Picked up the Tangerine piece just a couple of weeks ago at a small shop in Dallas, TX.
Hope you enjoy,

IS THERE A HISTORY BEHIND MINATURES?
WERE THEY FOR A PURPOSE?
MOUNTAIN RITA
We have many viking minature and a few imperial glass minatures.
The Museum of Glass in Weston has a large selection.
I going to attempt to google you and call you to make an offer on the mini's.
Hi Patsy,
I have had difficulty finding the miniatures myself. Seems that people don't turn loose of these very often. I have had a little luck in the small shops or mini malls. The problem arises in that most of the other manufacturers made smaller pieces so you really have to do your research so you are not buying Pilgrim or Rainbow pieces instead of Blenko. I have had some luck with some of these on ebay as mislists but with that said, you really have to know the different series whether they be Husted or Myers designs. Take some time to research these on the Blenko Archive webpage in the catalogs section.
Good luck,
Bruce Specht
PS Glad you enjoy the photos Rita.
As for purpose, what is any Blenko for other than to brighten our days, refracting light or enhancing a small arrangement of wildflowers.
