I made a pitcher this week. There are 3 basic forms that we learn. Tumbler, Bowl and bottle form. These forms can be modified to make different glass pieces. I either give away or recycle most of the glass, but save some good ones. Here is picture of evolution of my glass making. It started with paper weights, then we did tumblers, then bowls and now bottles. I still have difficulty with pontils and shaping the bottom. So you can see the cat-eye and grinding work to fix it. Also, every week I burn my something, this week it was fingers. Hence, the tape.
I will start adding colors next week onwards. Will start to make a colored pitcher.

Do you work at Blenko?
Hello,
I don't work for blenko, nor am related to blenko in anyway. I have phd in mechanical engineering. I work as full time researcher at psu. I work in neurology and biomechanics. I blow glass as a hobby.
Thanks,
V
V, the guys at Blenko make it look so easy, and not until you try it for yourself do you realize how much talent is at Blenko. The thing you must remember is most of them have been doing it for 15-30 years, so don't be too hard on youself. Evolution is the key along with perserverance.
Making glass does change your perspective. Many pieces that I loved, I don't like any more. And appreciate other pieces much more.
Regards
V
