Blenko Glass Milton, West Virginia 304 743 9081 August 21 -23. BLENKO GLASS CONVENTION.
If you are a COLLECTOR of West Virginia or BLENKO Glass this is a must do. If you aren't a collector of Blenko or West Virginia Glass this is a time you should come to Milton, see the people who make the glass, get a 'feel' for the company, the quality of glass, and enjoy this well planned 8/21-23 time.
Because so many of you ask. We contacted Richard Blenko, CEO of Blenko Glass and he was kind enough to give us a brief overview of the plans. The date is finalized, many classes and other activities will continue to be added.
Mr. Blenko said:
"we are considering a paperweight class, jewelry making; casting class, dalle de verre and glass blowing."
Mark your calendars - and plan to drive down/up to Milton for this event. Questions? Email theblenkoproject@aol.com or phone Blenko Glass 304 743 9081.
Title
Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass
Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

other than hilary, Wva Janis and rivi whose photos are now on the blog, we are all unknown. Hilary if we send our photos will you identify us so we can identify one another? Just a thought?
I was in Milton on june 20 and so was WVa Janis and I didn't see her.
Didn't know she was there until day or so later read your blog.
We should support Blenko and Hilary by going to Milton.
For me its a 10 hour trip, but beautiful drive.
Last year I came and no one spoke to me for the four hours I was there, except Mr. Blenko when he signed my glass.

Try again, perhaps you were having an off weekend. This group has a reputation for being extremely open and friendly. Let me know when you decide to attend, and I'll hook you up with a couple veterans - so you'll be more comfortable - then you write after and tell us of your experience.
Its suppose to be a SECRET - they are (BLENKO GLASS) making some very special items to sell during this 2 day event. As Collectors or potential collectors you will want to attend.
hjh
more info if you plz
also I will send photo
Nick if you will.
For Bridgitt,
I was there both Friday and Saturday last year also. You do need to talk to people near you, most of them will respond. I'm speaking from experience, because I walked in not knowing anyone my first trip down. Not as far away an Nick, but almost.
