Can't let this pass - That wish was from my (almost) 2nd grade teacher Sherri Hill.
Its a long story - my teacher was Annette Dumany who was also perfect...but Sherri Hill had STYLE something that in the 2nd grade I desired desperately....she was my role model...later she became my friend.
Do you have teacher stories? Teacher who made a difference in your life, and perhaps remain either in your life or your heart?
This week I spoke by email with my high school english teacher another role model.
I've been so fortunate to find these wonderful people - from grade school to dental school my good fortune re: quality educators and role models continues. hjh

Oh No! Sherri Hill is not Mountain Rita.
Sherri lives on the West Side of Charleston with her cats, blenko and art works, she's a retired teacher, she was a model, an artist, teacher and wore many hats but never a lawyer and she'd never call her self Mountain anything!

My guess is you are always ready to learn and to do, to work, to give.

On another note, can you tell us what you will be doing in Spain. Spain is such a wonderful country and they also have fabulous glass. Perhaps you can take some pictures of Spanish glassware and send them our way.

Guilty I am a board member of Blenko Project since GAS l l/2 years ago.
Blenko Glass fired Richard, neglects PBS, neglects to give her photos and info, neglects to advertise her blog etc., my questions to her is Why continue.
She is as you know bright, the world will be her oyster.

Many glass companies much greater than Blenko have gone under in the last 30 years. The Blenko Family has worked hard to keep Blenko alive. Often using their own money, because the family business is so very important to them. It is also important to us the People of West Virginia and I hope to the People of the USA - Blenko is the ONLY Manufactuer of ANTIQUE GLASS remaining in the USA. What does this say about US(?) as a country? We should be supporting this company (BLENKO) with $$$ and brain power to keep it afloat.
Supporting American Business makes good sense to me, but then sometimes I do seem to march to a different drummer. . .
I worked in Paducah and places around till bowling green are beautiful.
