The University of Texas at Austin (often referred to as the University of Texas, UT Austin, UT, or Texas) is a public research university located in Austin, Texas and is the flagship institution of The University of Texas System.[7][8][9][10] The main campus is located less than a mile from the Texas State Capitol. UT Austin was named one of the original eight Public Ivy institutions Founded in 1883, the university has had the fifth largest single-campus enrollment in the nation as of fall 2007 (and had the largest enrollment in the country from 1997–2003), with over 50,000 undergraduate and graduate students and 16,500 faculty and staff. It currently holds the largest enrollment of all colleges in the state of Texas.
The university operates various auxiliary facilities aside from the main campus, most notably the J. J. Pickle Research Campus. UT Austin is a major center for academic research, annually exceeding $400 million in funding. In addition, the university's athletic programs were recognized by Sports Illustrated as "America's Best Sports College" in 2002.

Enough about out of state sellers,
focus on local sellers.
HILLARY PLEASE PRINT THE PHOTO I AM SENDING TODAY IT SHOWS ME MY HORSE AND THE FESTIVAL OF GLASS VASE I BOUGHT AS YOU SAID TO BUY. I SUPPORT BLENKO BY PURCHASING BLENKO BECAUSE IT IS A WV COMPANY. I ALSO APPRECIATE THE COLOR AND THE IMPERFECTIONS, I WISH I KNEW THE WORKERS AS YOU SEEM TO. THE FESTIVAL OF GLASS VASE, I STILL THINK ITS UGLY AND NOT COLLECTIBLE AND I KNOW IT HASN"T SOLD. BLENKO HAS A PROBLEM WITH TRUTH AND ALSO PURPOSE AND GOALS, NOTHING IS AVAILABLE BEFORE THE SEASON. IN AUGUST WE WANT PUMPKINS, IN SEPT OCT WE WANT XMAS THINGS. IN JAN WE WANT HEARTS AND SHAMROCKS OR RED AND GREEN.
IF THEY SELL TO MAJOR STORES THEY WOULD KNOW THIS? WOULD THEY NOT?
MY COMPLAINTS ABOUT BLENKO MANAGEMENT ARE MANY AND FOR LONG TIME, LITTLE IMPROVED WITH THE CHANGE.
BLENKO IS IN NEED OF GOOD MANAGEMENT.
IN RECENT ARTICLE THE FENTON SPOKESPERSON AND THE FESITAA HOMER LAUGHLIN SPOKE HIGHLY OF THEIR COLLECTORS GROUPS AND HOW IMPROTANT THEY WERE TO THE SUCCESS OF THE COMPANY.
KATIE TRIPPE IS QUOTED AS SAYING THE BLENKO COLLECTORS GROUP IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH BLENKO IN ANY WAY
(BAD WORDING) I WILL FORWARD THE SOURCE TO YOU.
THE STORE AT BLENKO IS IT THERE MAJOR OUTLET? DO THEY NOW SELL IN ANY MAJOR STORES? IF SO WHERE?
ON THE WEB SITE ONLY THING LISTED ARE SMALL MOM AND POP VENUES.
THE DC AREA IS CLOSER FOR ME THAN MILTON. NO MAJOR DEPT STORE SELLS BLENKO. FENTON IS ON TV HOME SHOPPING, BLENKO IS NOT WHY?
THESE WOULD BE THE VENUE FOR GROWTH WOULD THEY NOT?
HOMER LAUGHLIN IS IN MY LOCAL STORES.
MOUNTAIN RITA

MOUNTAIN RITA
Mountain Rita
Write a letter to the governor of WV the legislators
and others about Glasslady.
This will help Blenko, writing to a newspaper with negative comments will not.
Now let me say I always enjoy your comments and learn a great deal about West Virginia and its culture by listening.
Hillary I am forwarding
the photo to UT website.
Beautiful.
Spent 3 years at UT and agree that somone would pay big bucks for this.
One doesn't need to be Texas born or bred to appreciate this steer.
It was made when?
The current price is?
The designer was?
Minor questions?
Hilary
If you print Mountain Rita's photo I'll send a photos of my nephews and my sons and my dogs etc.
Dr.Bob; Larry from TX special ordered 10 of these Topaz frosted steers in late 2007 or early 2008. I have several left at $150.00. The original Steer head wall vase #992 was designed by Winslow Anderson I believe in about 1951 - 1952. The horns on this original were 21.5". The current version has 13.5" horns. These items are usually made with the scull in an available color such as the cobalt, and vineyard with topaz horns, which I have in stock frosted $130.00 non frosted $95.00. I may be an out of state seller, but I buy my glassware in WV, I don't have to as there are many local glass blowers here in TX. without the TX market, which is one of BLENKO's strongholds Blenko Glass Co. would be having more problems than they already have. I truly hope that the contributors to this BLOG can lay aside some of the hate, jealousy, and petty negativism in the new year. I for one give Hillary my full support and appreciation for maintaining this BLOG. Be positive there is enough negativism in our everyday life that we can't control why should we have to create more for those who are trying to support a struggling art form. Save your negativism for Ford, Chevy and the banking industry, which has put this country into the mess its in today. BLENKO needs our support not our negative energy. Merry Christmas to Y'all. Larry from Texas. larry@serenityantiques.com
PS; Fenton has about destroyed the collector market with there marketing ideas such as QVC,Making part of their wares in China, selling to Tuesday Morning and Cracker Barrel at prices so low that Mom and Pop shops are out of the market as we could not buy the same inferior items seen at these other venues, and the items available to us in the true collector market are extremely high priced in comparison. ( I am a Fenton showcase dealer and see it daily.) Homer Laughlen reintroduced the Fiesta line, offered it to small retailers then promptly flooded the market with product leaving many small retailers holding large inventories. Rumor has it that BLENKO may be in negotiations with Neiman Marcus for some exclusive lines.
