Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.
Last year I did this sale. It was worth the cost of air fare. Very inexpensive items. Nothing for the collector but if you resell or gift to those who don't collect - well - this was where I did all my Xmas shopping. Less than $600 and another $175 for shipping and I had 72 gifts.
Long time reader, first time to comment. Perhaps we can focus only on selling, buying, and learning about the factory and the history. I personally do not care about rumors, or what management is or isn't doing. In March focus on one or two of the glassworkers and tell us all about them, their family, what their hobbies are. Or the women. In the Blenko Project you photographed women working at Blenko. Women working in glass other than decorating and etching is rare. Ideas? Perhaps you will use. Thank you for many lessons learn about WV Glass. I ordered the Dean Six book.
received flowers today from charleston cut flower 1900 5th ave at iowa street charleston phone 304 346 0645. Also were See's chocolates - 800 347 7337 which is world's best chocolates from carson Calif. Also flowers in a purple Blenko vase. Best flowers in best vase with best chocolate. Excellence breds excellence.

then had the local florist fill them for family.
Enjoy the hearts, I too miss the post about frog vs prince
and the animal figures during this heart month.

I own a crystal Blenko heart from 1972.
Solid colors seem to be more timeless.
