Collectors:
The owners think the disc in this photo was designed during the Blenko tenure of Joel Myers. Do you have any knowledge of this item?
If so please share with the blog.

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

We own a series of 12 outdoor
light catchers - swan, frog, tree, etc. we also think they are Blenko.
Yellow and light green in color one is a light brown
Yearly you publish a new year card from Marvin Lipsoky (glass artist and GAS founding member)
we saw no card this year.
You have not written of his passing, so give us an update
when time permits.

I appreciate the community service
Herald provides with this blog about
West Virginia and Glass.
Hilary have you thought of expanding to include closed factories and also Fenton?
I collect Morgantown Glass, I belong to a large group of very nice collectors who would help by providing photos and info
on our favorite wva glass company.

My love affair with Blenko has waxed and waned for a year now.
I also collect Fostoria vintage
and also belong to a collectors group there are five Fostoria groups.
I will send an email to ask if we can provide photos and articles to you.
Fostoria was made in West Virginia.
I did a google search and saw no death notice re: ML
We own a plate with the Milton covered bridges
that was designed by Phylss Powers of Hurricane.
Touch of Glass also designs medallions then Blenko pours. While at Marshall we used Touch of Glass a dozen or more times.
I doubt this swan had anything to do with Joel Philip Myers it is probably the work of in house Blenko workers.
Perhaps send the photo to Blenko and ask for clarification.

I daily read the Travel Professor Blog also in Herald Dispatch.
We've done several trips using his suggestions. If you haven't explored the other blogs, start today with Travel Professor.

any update on that warehouse sell at Blenko?
Also recommendation of near by hotel.

most likely a husted design. If my memory serves Husted did the zodiacs and serveral other stamps during his tenure. But saying that wouldn't put it past being a joel design. Research the color, that will help you determine which designer did what by what year the colors where offered. This blue has a late 50's early 60's vibe. Not an inhouse design, but also might not of been a full on production piece.
Oh Alice - do you enjoy life in wonderland?
Glassdoc can't get Blenko to give her the warehouse sale hours
thus they would not do research
also anyone who might know anything about this time period is no longer employed at Blenko.
History isn't valued by youth.

I would like to start my own blog one day. This was a really nice blog that you made here. Keep up the success
My friend says these were designed when Matt Carter was at Blenko
and may have been a decal type image one of four
used to create these.

I would ask Tammie
bet she will know.
Hillary calls her the Blenko encylopedia.
