Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

this event has been advertised on the Blenko website and in the newspapers for the last month or more.

I'm going to this Blenko event to purchase the limited edition pieces. Are you saying that they are only going to be able to purchase on Saturday?

Who is teaching the dalle class? They never should have got rid of Lemley. I bet it's a joke now.

Just read of the untimely death of Bruce's wife.
Thank you for the article and for attempting to make us a cohesive group of caring people.
In my dreams we have a Heart of Glass blog meeting once a year at Blenko.

Mountain Rita
This event is one well known to Blenko Collectors
we mark our calendars one year in advance.
This was the creation of Katie Trippe the VP at Blenko.
She said" she wanted to do something other than the WV Birthday or Blenko Collector event for Blenko.
She did and it has been a successful 3 years now and running.
We all owe Katie a great deal, she has kept Blenko Glass running for the last 3 years.
Stepping into giant shoes w/o a lot of prior glass or management experience. She has done an exceptional job. I look forward to hearing of Katie Trippe in books and articles written about Blenko's rebirth.
Sharp, witty, and bold would best describe Katie. She isn't afraid of the former Gas Supplier and boldly announced public opinion would keep him from shutting down Blenko and she is correct.
Blenko is bigger than the factory, Blenko is as glassdoc puts it a "State Treasurer" not Natlie Tennant but a treasure. The people of WV would not like to see another glass factory close and Katie Trippe won't let this happen not on her watch.
This should be called the Katie Trippe Festival. We all owe her a great deal.
