Eddie Powers - Blenko 'blower'

Blenko Glass is a small WVa Company made up of families. Eddie Powers is one of the best
'blowers' at Blenko. His granddad worked at Blenko - in fact - his Grandad was the first work related death at Blenko. Later his Dad "Red" Powers would work a life time at Blenko, Red's last job was Director of Antique Glass sales. Red and his wife Ms. Phylis ( see www.blenkoproject.org for photos) would amass a large collection of signed and numbered unique Blenko Glass items. Many employees at Blenko are the grandchildren, children, cousins, of former Blenko employees. Blenko Glass made in WVa .

Nice to have a name to put with the face. This guy I have seen while visiting Blenko.
Are you recommending we look for items signed by Eddie Powers? Other than signature how will we know Powers touched the glass?
Seriously.

I was one of the lucky people who purchased a part of Red Powers glass collection.
Mountaineer Auction and later at his home.
Aluminum molds and designer pieces.
Lovely lovely family.

Great news for Eddie
bad new for Blenko Glass.
Shouldn't someone from Blenko let Glasslady know when employees are no longer available?

Blenko is short handed in the office I've been told they have only five women to do all the work.
This is one woman for every 3 glassworkers, is it not?
With short staff you can't expect any communication.
Have you phoned there in the last year?

Harry Thompson, Charlie Chapman, Charlie Osburn Eddie Powers, Dave Osburn and many other Blenko employees should have been recognized by Blenko and the public.
Sad they were not.

I phone Blenko at least once a week, the phone rarely rings more than twice before it is answered.
Perhaps you are dialing an incorrect number.
