We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Blenko Project Founding Board Member

Recently Elmer Gale Copley died after a long five year battle with Mantle Cell Lymphoma.  He was a founding board member for the Blenko Project.  Serving from 2008-11.

Elmer was one of the 3 Copley Brothers, ( Skip, Gale, Barry)   they collect Blenko together as a means of family bonding.

Their collections are composed of Blenko Glass from 50-70's. The brothers   collects Artist Proofs after 80.   They also collects the WVA Birthday vases arriving  each year a day or two prior to the sale for socialization and to meet up with their WV family.

Elmer Gale attended Marshall University, was married to his childhood ( 8th grade) sweetheart and lived all of his life in WVa.  He was a railroad engineer for most of his adult life.  His passions included gardening,  fishing, hunting, collecting and spending time with his beloved wife, his brothers and his nieces and nephews.
