Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Please note the Heart of Glass Blog is not involved with this sale.

Raymond and Wanda Lewis were BLENKO GLASS employees.  I first met Wanda and Lewis as a child and became friends with them in the early 2001.
Both dearly loved BLENKO GLASS COMPANY>
Wanda always was a delightful lady who would help anyone in need.  Raymond was a bit more reserved until you got him talking about Glass.  He loved his job - and the history.

PLEASE plan to attend this Estate Sale.   I haven't seen the glass they are offering, but I know the family and their history to BLENKO.
I'm betting it'll be the best ESTATE SALE a Blenko Collector could attend.
I certainly plan to attend.  Hope to see you there -

Bill Blenko Drive
start time: 2 PM Thursday
On Thursday Aug. 2nd and Friday Aug. 3rd we will have the 2nd part of the Lewis estate sale. My family will be helping Tina Lewis-Jordan and her husband Steve with the estate of Raymond and Wanda Lewis. The sale will be at the Milton VFW. There will be Blenko glass and other related items. There are hundreds of Blenko catalogs, post cards, a few books, and other paper items. There are Blenko vases, decanters, bowls, animals, glasses, paperweights, fruits, vegetables, Williamsburg glass, one hour glass, one half hour glass, etc. There are many one-of-a-kind items, some made by Raymond Lewis and Shorty Finley.
For those of you who attended the first sale, we have unpacked many boxes of glass that weren't part of that sale. There are boxes of glass from the sale two years ago that we still haven't unpacked.
It has been exciting to see the Blenko history that Wanda and Raymond saved over the years.
We will start the sale on Thursday Aug, 2nd from 2 until 8. We will resume the sale on Friday Aug. 3rd from 9 until 7.
No early sales, we will be too busy trying to get everything set up. It is over-whelming the amount glass that Lewis family had collected. There will be one table with Bischoff, Gibson, Fenton, Rainbow, Viking, Pilgrim, etc. We hope to see you there.
