Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Blenko Glass - Hand crafted cards.

Photo of Blenko Glass Collector Diane Weber and with engraved Blenko Water Bottle. The water bottle was the inspiration for the Blenko Glass inspired handcrafted cards Diane makes and sells on etsy and in the Blenko Glass gift shop.

This week I'll be reordering the Blenko water bottle cards. These cards were designed and handcrafted by Dianne W. a Blenko Collector living in California. Diane makes each card and you have a choice of colors. I chose to have the rainbow of colors.

If you have not ordered the Blenko cards - put them on your 'must have' list.

Cards can be ordered from Blenko Glass http://www.blenkoglass.com/ or on etsy an online crafts store

Blog reader G wrote she plans to order the cards in teal and use as wedding announcements. Each card is a work of art.

Note: I had two cards matted and framed, they hang in the hallway of my little cottage. Inexpensive art.

Did everyone hear of the 700 people involved in lay offs at Campbells ?
Sad news
this economy is growing much worse I'm afraid.
Blenko may not be able to recover
disposable income is a thing of the past.

They are $10 apiece for one to four cards; five to nine cards drop to $9 apiece, and ten or more are $8 apiece. Shipping on a single is $2.00, add a dollar each for more than one. I can ship six in a flat rate envelope for $4.95. Mass numbers we will have to discuss. Turnaround is usually a week; I am only home and able to make these cards on the weekends. Paper patterns will depend on the paper I have in stock, you'll just have to trust my color sense to make it all work.

Thanks for asking!

Diane
