Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. Good Tuesday to all. Love the high top shoe. I have a blenko shoe, in colbalt blue. Then I have alittle blue bootie, my favorite piece is a high heel that needs the lace fixed, it is a Letton, made in Japan. Old is what it is. Love the blue green pieces. Also I like the round design that looks like it was beat with a hammer, the clear glass is always nice, it goes with everything. Hello Saul, was in Winchester Virginia this weekend had a good burger at five guys and the best's ICE CREAM from a place called DA'DA'S. Raspberry seemed to be the favor that was wonderful.Well just stopped in to see what was knew on the blog.Jake is good, the trip wore him out. The girls like to lead him around the yard. Then where he stays all nite has a fenced in yard where he lets two other dogs know that he is the lion dog. Happy summer,Roxie

My love. Welcome back.
Stop giving Jake treats - ice cream and chicken nuggets are not good for domestic animals.

from: http://www.blenkoarchive.org/blenko_numbers_names.htm

Most items people call "experimental" Blenko (aka 'one-offs', 'end of day', 'whimsies', 'lunch hour specials' etc) are almost always another company's product that the owner can not identify; the famous example is on p.83 of Schiffer's book "Blenko Cool", first ed., which identifies a Zeller vase as "experimental Husted." Similarly, p.40 of the second edition inexplicably identifies the quite common 5831 from Blenko's standard line as "experimental."

anonymous and this is proof everyone except for the author of blenko archives is foolish?
Schiffer books are and continue to be my #1 source of info.
Lisa should be given a gold plate or at least a designer blenko for life.

Hal, I think you mean Leslie, not Lisa - I see the two of you share the same knack for details and facts.
You should both get a gold plate just for entertainment value. I personally love it when people use her books as buying guides as it leaves the good stuff & real stuff for me and keeps the prices absurdly low. Keep it up.
