We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Thank you for writing - looking at the bottom I can definitely say it was handcrafted as appears to be Blenko.

First of all its blenko.
Now a word about Blenko.
The note from Blenko to you said check their website.
I did just this
the website says:Upcoming Events

4th Annual Festival of Glass
August 5-6, 2011
4th Annual Festival of Glass is a family oriented event that brings the art and skill of glass work to the public. Blenko offers a wide variety of classes for all ages and skill levels. For more information please visit the Festival of Glass Page above
Now perhaps in WV there is nothing to do other than throw rocks in the creek so you don't need information about an event.
The remainder of the world is accustom to having information 6 months in advance? Who is responsible for this? Doesn't it happen yearly? Why is there no agenda in place?
Reading your column about Fenton closing makes me wonder why - Fenton did QVC and George and crew were out everywhere generating business. Blenko does nothing in an orderly manner and yet they are open? Any one understand this?

Thank GOD that it is Friday! Lovely pitcher! Reminds me of the days when Momma was living, she would dress me in yellow. Now to the Anonymous person, it is to early for the cracks about the people in West Virginia. The same Events happen every year, at around the same time. We are like clock work, we just keep repeating what we do, until we dam near get perfection. In today's world we have little time for skipping rocks,we are to busy learning how to spit in the road. ALSO! Being a Maryland girl, from birth, do you people realize how hard it is to make friends here once they find out your from somewhere else, from all the pottie mouths like you out there. KNOCK, KNOCK, anybody home.

Blenko # 6047-P designed by Wayne Husted in the color of Jonquil. The series is referred to as the "Vineyard" pattern. Hope this helps.
