Jade Decanters

Blenko. Blenko. Blenko. Blenko. Blenko Glass. Blenko. Blenko. Blenko. Blenko Glass.

Hi Hillary,
Just wanted to send along this photo of a couple of nice Husted designed Jade decanters. On the left you have a Blenko 5825-L with a smaller #565. Both have the Crystal stoppers. I found the #565 on my latest trip to Georgia in a small mini mall in the thirty dollar range. It was mixed into a large shelf of green glass. There were a few other Blenko marked pieces in the same shop but they were all overpriced. Just another case of knowing what the seller doesn't know saving me a lot of green. Or in this case saving another collector who had asked me to keep my eye out for Jade pieces for her collection. She is enjoying the addition to her growing collection.
Hope you and the blog folks enjoy as well.

Jade was a 1958 only color. Other one year colors are Chestnut 1965, Mulberry 1958, Juniper 1957, Nile 1959, Surf Green 1970, Pine 1974, and one of my favorites the 1961 Charcoal variant.
Just a little bit extra special to find one of these.
