Fenton Site Being Consider for New School

Fenton Art Glass has been suggested as a possible site for a new Williamstown Elementary School.
George Fenton said he planned to serve on the shareholders committee for Williamstown Elementary School and was eager to hear feedback from the community on the best course of action. Even if the Fenton plant is identified as a likely site for the new school, that does not mean the end of Fenton Art Glass, he said, which continues to produce beads.

Why would Blenko want to make beads?

Fenton is now making beads, George was quoted in local paper as saying it was an excellent profit product and one that could be made in 20% of the space with very little cost.
Many Fenton beads are on back order.
I don't know enough about Blenko to speak to capacity or capability to make beads. Perhaps someone should forward this to Blenko and ask if its possible.
Last year we met a jewelry maker who was working with Blenko. Jewelry making and bead making are similar.
As a new collector one w/o the history of prejudice I seem to think Blenko could do anything it chose to do.

WHY WOULD BLENKO WANT TO MAKE BEADS?
PEOPLE THINK. WHEN MR BLENKO SUGGESTED MAKING TABLEWARE? DON'T YOU THINK OTHERS SAY WHY?
BEADS ARE POPULAR VERY EXPENSIVE TO PURCHASE AND ARE WHAT PEOPLE ARE BUYING.

The process to make beads is
not the same as hot glass that Blenko uses.

Blenko isn't capable of making beads.
Fenton did fine art glass
and decorative glass.
Etched and painted beads are in vogue.

Bead making is growing in popularity.
No surprise to learn Blenko isn't inclined to
make beads.
Heard you are expanding blog to include other West Virginia past and present glass makers T or F?
I also collect Morgantown Glass started during Med School - if anyone owns Morgantown Glass they want to part with I'm interested.
If you Glassdoc need photos of Morgantown Glass I will send photos.
