Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Hillary:
Here's a page from the 1985 catalog, and a close up of the vase in question.
I think it IS a catalog item.

Newbie here
where do I get these catalogs?

Check eBay - that is where I got mine. I scored a big lot of catalogs from 1973 to 1999; I've been buying them in the years since, so I have an almost complete set from 1973 forward - I'm missing 1979. There is an eBay seller who does reprints of older catalogs as well, good quality color scans of original copies, makes a terrific reference for older Blenko designs.

George - don't beat yourself up...I didn't find it in the 1983 catalog at first.

Is it true that the Powers kid
and Randy Rider both left Blenko this past year?

We spoke with Randy Rider less than 7 days ago he
continues to be the foreman at Blenko Glass.
