Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

My dear dear Glassdoc,
I noticed there was no photo of Ms B for the new year post. Did she pass? Is she healthy? We are aware of how important she is in your life. Beautiful spoiled dog and lovely intelligent dog owner. Quite a pair. I look forward to photos containing images of Ms.
Last evening my Mom was in the process of identifying her glass using the blenko project website catalogs. Excellent material. Very nice profile The improvement is unmeasurable. H
Have you considered looking to WV sponsored grants to fund your research?
My heart felt thanks to the people who did this work the improvements and the easy to use links
will assist many new and 'older' collectors.

Most informative.

What part of Texas?
I'll be in Texas for 7 days May 1-8
My Mom and Aunt would love to visit your Blenko
during our Dallas stay.
If the exhibit is within 2 hours I'll drive them to visit your glass.

I also noticed the improvement in the www.blenkoproject.org pages. The improvements are superior. The Blenko Project pages are a researchers dream. I buy and sell on line and use the pages frequently to properly label my wares.

I also noticed Glasslady didn't do her usual "I am not a glass expert" and photo of dog. My best guess is the dog is good, its a young puppy Ask again in 8 or 9 years.

Bruce will not answer you, the person asking questions.

FYI
I've been reading this blog for more than 4 years and Ms B was a part of the blog from day one.
She must be more than 4.
I am certain Ms B is not a puppy.

Sol,
Clarification - contributing glass photos is not an invitation to visit. When Bruce's glass is again on public display - we'll post this info on the blog.

Rochelle
I'm certain Dr V who works very hard to keep the blenkoproject www.blenkoproject.org up dated and informtive will be pleased with your comment.

Sol
Ms B is now nine years old, and in excellent health. Thank you for asking.
