Hi Alice,
These are two of three vases I own that were special commission pieces under Matt Carters design tenure at Blenko. The third vase I have is a cylinder vase in the Antique green with turquoise webbing around the middle as these two are finished. In previous requests for information on these designs Matt Carter actually responded that they were a special commission work and not an item from the regular line but he could not recall what organization had requested the pieces. Two are signed by Richard Blenko and dated '98. The only other time I have seen this design is in the "Hearts of Glass" video sitting on the table in the background behind one of the female Blenko family members being interviewed. Any other information anyone has on these designs would be much appreciated.
