Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

How does Bruce Specht photo glass?

Blenko  photo table setup for "Three Blenko Pitchers"

This is the accompanying photo to the "Three Blenko Ptchers" email. This is a recent photo of the background I use in most of the photos I have shot to date. Simple but effective. I did forget to identify the pieces so I will do so here. From left to right you have a Husted designed Blenko #586 in Tangerine, Anderson designed Blenko #991 in Mulberry, and another Husted designed Blenko #579 in Jade.
Enjoy,
Bruce Specht

Your studio looks like a Blenko warehouse.
Awesome.

Bruce,

This looks great. May I offer a suggestion to add another 'white' board to the right, coinciding with both the bottom and front boards; this will increase the amt. of light on the glass on the side. Also, find a table lamp, preferably with white light, put a mash to it (a white cloth) to diffuse the light, to make it more softer to avoid reflection on the glass and put them on tripods at different locations and experiment for the best possible 'non-reflective' image.

I tried this without your success
Bruce I think you have some sort of glass gene
the glass finds you
then you make it appear beautiful in photo
