Title

Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Blenko Ram

The Blenko Ram 's head is a much sought after item.  Blog reader M  owns this item,  she sent the photos shown here.  This Ram is looking for a new home.  M thinks the Ram's head is worth between 400 - 600$ .  It will offered in an online auction later this month.   If you have pre auction interest, I will forward your email to M.

Life is a series of mountains and valleys, some days we travel up the mountain effortlessly, some days we fall into the valley - what's important is.....we get up and climb that mountain again ~Quote by Julia Diemientieff

Blenko and Timex both keep ticking.
Thank you Dr Homburg for remaining local to us.

Anyone besides me miss Richard Blenko?
I think the combination of Walter Bill and Rick would have - could have been dynamic.
Walter has a great business sense, Bill has the history and knowledge of Blenko and Rick well Rick is the face of Blenko. Always was and always will be.

I think it is a little over priced at that amount. They do come on eBay regularly. I won a Rams head on eBay last year and it went for less than $300. I would have won another for around $200, but forgot to setup a snipe. Oh well. I love the one I have.

Definitely miss Richard. I speak to him monthly and I am very excited with his recent move out of WV.

I wish Blenko Glass could find a designer from one of the finer art schools or someone with an pottery background. I think they would save money with this type of setup rather than an established glass artist or teacher.

Tim
where did Rick go
and what is he doing?
Last we spoke - almost sixteen months ago, he was selling off some things, and seemed cheerful.
I know WV / Milton was bitter sweet for him.

I own a Ram Head
I'd like to have a pair.
I paid $250 for the first one
at a local auction.
I also think 4-500 is way too much.
Who sets these prices?
