Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Myers 64 Vases.

This is a nice grouping of Myers designed vases from around 1965-66 when the color Peacock was in production. From left to right you have a Blenko 64C, Blenko 64E, Blenko 64B, and Blenko 64D. Peacock continues to be a challenge for me when it comes to capturing the color correctly.

Peacock is a color I'd very much like to see Blenko recycle.

Thank you Bruce, your photos continue to inspire me.

They look more like turquoise. Peacock is much, much deeper.
