Don Shepherd designer piece

Hi Hillary,

Just wanted to share this with you and your readers. I stumbled upon this Don
Shepherd designer piece mis-listed a couple of months ago. I couldn't hit the
Buy-It-Now button fast enough. I cut a deal with Shelley that she would hold it
until my birthday in January. For once I couldn't wait for that day to roll
around. I hadn't seen one of these except on the old Blenko Museum webpage that
showed this piece in an exhibit in honor of Shepherds work shortly after his
untimely death. Maybe one day I will be able to add the bowl that I saw once on
Ebay several years ago. For now though I will just to just enjoying this
addition to my Shepherd grouping.

Hope you enjoy,
Bruce

Gloria,
I paid $100.00 plus a very modest shipping. The piece is in excellent condition and is one that I had only seen before as mentioned in the Don Shepherd retrospective photos on the old "Blenko Museum" website under "exhibitions". I would be glad to see the decanter and stopper you have if you send it through Hillary.

Paul,
The smaller vase is shown in the 1975 catalog and is shown with two footed bowls or chalices with the swirl turquoise and tangerine. The vase is a Blenko #7525. The flat rimmed vase appears in the 1982 catalog as a Blenko #826L in crystal but I do not have any other reference material for it or the rolled lip bowls that I have seen. Maybe someone else would be able to add to our knowledge on this question?
